The Big Band (rereleased as The Big Band: A Tribute to Basie) is an album by American jazz organist Jimmy McGriff featuring performances recorded in 1966 and originally released on the Solid State label.

Reception.

The AllMusic review by Scott Yanow awarded the album 4 stars and wrote:”Matching the leader’s powerful organ with a big band was a logical idea and one that would be successfully repeated quite a few times in the future”.
