You Get More Bounce with Curtis Counce! (later released as Councelation) is an album by American jazz bassist Curtis Counce recorded in 1956 and 1957 and released on the Contemporary label.
The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow awarded the album 4½ stars and stated: “Bassist Curtis Counce led one of the finer West Coast-based groups of the 1950s, a quintet that was greatly underrated. With trumpeter Jack Sheldon, tenor-saxophonist Harold Land, pianist Carl Perkins and drummer Frank Butler completing the group, this was a band with plenty of solo strength. Their second Contemporary recording features five standards (including “Stranger in Paradise”) and two numbers by the leader. This excellent music falls somewhere between hard bop and cool jazz.”
