Reception:

The AllMusic review by Thom Jurek awarded the album 4 stars stating “Sunset to Dawn is among the most enjoyable entries in Barron’s vast catalog.”

In JazzTimes, David Zych wrote, “The program has Barron offering a rich program of originals with a ’70s tinge, but nevertheless rich, imaginative, and worth repeated listenings”.
