All the King’s Horses is the second album by American saxophonist Grover Washington Jr. It was recorded in 1972 and released on Kudu Records the same year. In 2008, it was reissued on CD by Verve/GRP Records.
Reception
AllMusic review by Thom Jurek awarded the album 4 stars stating “When All the King’s Horses was originally released, it wasn’t received as well as Inner City Blues had been the previous year. In retrospect, however, this set has assumed its proper place in Washington’s catalog: as one of his more ambitious and expertly performed sessions.”
