A rare set that brings together material in two sessions by two of Canada’s strongest underground players of the 70s – guitarist Sonny Greenwich and pianist Don Thompson. The pair play together here in two sets – one led by Greenwich, one by Thompson, both showing different sides of their styles. The Greenwich session features rhythm by Michel Donato and Clint Houston on basses, and Clayton Johnson on drums – and it’s got a spacious trippy sound that has the group stretching out, not really in a fusion way, more more in a lanquid spacey style. Titles include “Haunted Heart”, “Stranger In The City”, and “The Man & The Child” (Dusty Groove).
