Kisses in the Rain is the title of both a popular smooth jazz track and the seventh studio album by American trumpeter Rick Braun, released on February 27, 2001, via Warner Bros. Records.

Reception.

Braun has created his most cohesive and powerful album to date, one sure to raise the popular profile of one of the most respected artists on the Smooth Jazz scene. Track listing includes “Kisses in the Rain,” “Use Me,” “Car Wash 2000,” plus lots more (Amazon).

The album marked a slight departure from Braun’s earlier “moody cityscape” style, experimenting with more rhythmic and funky textures. It features a star-studded lineup of collaborators, including Peter White on guitar, Nathan East on bass, and Jerry Hey on brass (Hilarie Grey/JazzTimes).
