what is this presentation of Gillespie his only one composition ? Some tension with Monk?!

Ben Brown says:

LMAO…that's hysterical!!! And not surprising. I"ve heard story after story of Monk just walking in, playing and getting up and leaving without saying a word.

Sam Shlong says:

I saw Dizzy at Blues Alley, wash.dc, late 1980s , I desired his autograph, I was just a college kid. He opened up his horn case with some pics lining it, he asked me to identify the musicians, I did, all of them. He was quite happy a 19 yr old white kid knew them all, I didn't mind his comment one bit, at that time not a lot of youth into jazz , at least not at the show.

Terry Miller says:

Bassist Al McKibbon is severely underrated.
