James “Jimmy” Dorsey (February 29, 1904 – June 12, 1957) was a prominent American jazz clarinetist, saxophonist, trumpeter, composer, and big band leader.
“One O’Clock Jump” is a jazz standard, a 12-bar blues instrumental, written by Count Basie in 1937, with arrangements by Eddie Durham and Buster Smith.
