Recorded in 1972, Hear, Sense and Feel is The Awakening‘s debut album and only album to be released by a group on Black Jazz. The group’s sprawling origins derive from Chicago’s Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians, of which The Awakening’s Reggie Willis (bass) and Ari Brown (flute, tenor saxophone) were members of, and Young Holt Unlimited, an ensemble which touted Frank Gordon (trumpet) and Ken Chaney (keyboard) as part of its lineup (Jazz Messengers).

When Will It Ever End 7:16

Awakening – Epilogue 1:06
