Meditation (also released as Dynamic Duo) is an album of duets by the American saxophonist George Coleman and Spanish pianist Tete Montoliu recorded in early 1977 and released on the Dutch label, Timeless.

“A pairing of tenor saxophonist George Coleman and pianist Tete Montoliu might at first seem odd, but this is a remarkably coherent album in nearly every respect. Coleman and Montoliu are each at the top of their form (coming straight from a European tour), the saxophonist blowing strings of notes like soap bubbles from a pipe and Montoliu singing his Tatum-esque lines. This one should silence anyone doubting Adams’ top of the line abilities. His tone is distinct and emotional, the saxophonist being one of the last of a generation of individualists. The unsung duo sings through their instruments, interacts, and creates some wonderfully colorful fare. Four of the six tunes were penned by Coleman or Montoliu and reflect a splendid sophistication. The rendition of Duke Ellington’s “Sophisticated Lady” goes right to the heart of the tune, while Antonio Carlos Jobim’s “Meditation” is vigorously original. A fine introduction to the work of both Coleman and Montoliu.” – Steve Loewy/AllMusic.
